The Pre-Summit of the Third Summit of the International Crimea Platform was held on Tuesday, August 22, where participants discussed the vision of the situation in which Ukraine is on the way to regaining control over Crimea and the occupied parts of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, the reintegration of the peninsula, the steps being taken and the initiatives to be developed.

Crimean Tatars consider Ukraine to be a state that can guarantee the preservation and development of the Crimean Tatar people. This was stated by the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov during a discussion on the eve of the Third Summit of the International Crimean Platform.

This was emphasized by Olha Kuryshko, Deputy Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, during a panel discussion on the eve of the Third Summit of the International Crimea Platform.

Political persecution of those who don’t support the war is taking place in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Since March 2022, the occupation authorities have brought at least 370 who were prosecuted for the so-called discrediting of the Russian army.

Ukraine must retake Crimea, and most likely, the territory will be returned by military means. This was stated by Oleksiy Danilov, the Secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defence Council, on the eve of the Third Summit of the International Crimea Platform.

The Pre-Day of the Third Summit of the Crimea Platform started in Kyiv. During the opening of the event, Emine Dzhaparova, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, pointed out the importance of consolidation around the Crimea issue.
